1. Create Great Quality Content
The key to increasing your YouTube favorites is creativity and ensuring to post high-quality, engaging, unique, and relevant content that adds value to YouTube users. Great quality content will help you increase the average watch time of your videos.
YouTube users have unique characteristics. So it’s up to you to post unique content that not only engages but also is something they can relate to easily. Doing so will help you have many YouTube favorites for your videos to grow and expand your channel.
Here are things you should do to create great quality content:
- Upgrade your equipment, i.e., buy a better camera or microphone
- Edit your content thoroughly
- Write high-quality scripts
- Post content in high resolution
- Write an accurate description of the video.
2. Ask Your Audience
We know you’ve watched YouTube videos before. What’s one thing you must have seen YouTubers do? They request their viewers to hit the subscribe button to stay updated with their videos. That’s what we want you to do here. Asking viewers to add your video to their favorite list is one of the most effective strategies to grow your favorite count.
So at least once at the beginning of every video, it’s necessary to request your viewers to favorite it. Doing so persuades viewers to favorite your video, especially if the content is captivating and informative.
3. Do Interact with Users
The best way to understand what people want is by interacting with them. Similarly, interacting with your viewers on YouTube will help you understand your viewers better and find ways to create valuable content, which will increase your video’s average watch time and, ultimately, more YouTube favorites.
Besides, interacting with your audience helps you build trust and reliability. For example, most viewers watch YouTube videos to learn, have fun, or just find solutions. If you interact with them based on the subject of your video, they’ll likely want to interact with you more and more.
That means they’ll want to watch your videos again. They’ll want to favorite your video. So ensure to make it compulsory to engage with your community of viewers and respond to their comments. Sometimes, you should go live to make the interaction more interesting.
4. Host Contests
If you want viewers to favorite your video, you should find ways to ensure they spend most of their time watching your videos. For example, you can run a contest where viewers compete to win giveaways and other prizes.
Who wouldn’t want to participate in a contest where they have a chance to win prizes? Most viewers would love to favorite your video because of the valuable content and contest with giveaways.
5. Share it Everywhere
You have to combine different strategies to stay successful on YouTube. The best way to grow your channel is to share and promote your YouTube videos via social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more.
You should then share links to your YouTube videos on all these platforms for people to open and watch. Also, you should embed your YouTube videos on your website and blog to have a wider reach and increased traffic resulting in more YouTube favorites.
