Releasing music is one thing. Turning listeners into real fans on Boomplay is something else entirely. Here are the proven ways to gain more followers on your Boomplay profile.

1. Buy Boomplay Followers

2. Optimize Your Boomplay Profile

Many artists underestimate the importance of optimizing their profiles. You spend all this time recording tracks and then pair it with a blank bio, no links, or an iPhone selfie. Instant bad vibes. Start strong with a professional profile image that screams who you are – your brand identity starts with being visually engaging.

Go for something bold, moody, colourful, minimal – whatever your image, make sure it’s clear, clean, and intentional. Next: that bio matters. Outline your genre, musical style, biggest influences, and noteworthy moments (awards, top collabs, streamed albums).

Drop in your contact info for inquiries, add your social links, and set yourself up as a true artist. This sets the foundation for growing your Boomplay followers.

3. Create and Share High-Quality Music

At the core of a growing following is one thing: consistently excellent audio quality. Think of every upload as your CV. If the mix sounds muddy, if the master lacks punch, it won’t convert. Collaborate with producers and engineers who understand how to bring out the best in your sound.

Proper recording, balanced EQ on each track, controlled mixing, pro-level mastering – these are all essentials. Fans stay hooked on your sound quality just as much as your vibe. Beyond music drops, let your audience connect on another level.

Share studio sneak peeks, new song previews, jam sessions, and behind-the-scenes clips of how your work comes together. When it’s authentic and polished, they listen, follow, and stick around for more.

4. Optimize Your Tracks for Maximum Reach

If you want to stand out on Boomplay and attract more followers, optimizing each of your tracks is a must. Well-optimized tracks are more likely to appear in search results, recommendations, and playlists, significantly boosting your visibility.

Start with clear, relevant titles. If you’re releasing an Afrobeats track, don’t get cryptic – nobody’s searching “Zzzvibe4.” Use something findable, like “Summer Night – Ft. King Joe.” Genre terms, moods, and featured artist names all help you appear in search results.

Next, fill out tags and your track description like a pro. Mention the vibe (e.g., heartbreak ballad, high-energy drill), feature key collabs, and sprinkle in regional buzzwords your audience connects with. Aim for consistency in your cover art – albums or series should have a visually linked appearance.

5. Submit Your Songs to Boomplay Playlists

Landing on a top Boomplay playlist strategy gives you a flow of listeners that could help you build a follower base. Research existing editorial and user-created playlists in your relevant genre or niche. Who runs them? What type of songs are they selecting? What are the trending BPMs or subjects getting spins? Ensure your music and vibe align with what the curator is looking for.

Create smart pitch emails with high-quality visuals, explain why your track belongs on the playlist, and personalize each message – no cut-and-paste required. And finally, aim for mood-specific playlists as well (such as chill, love songs, or party). These niche listeners are much easier to convert.

6. Promote Your Boomplay Page

This is a big one – repeating the promo cycle constantly, and promoting your page from every outlet you have access to. Share that profile link on all your social platforms – especially where you’re active, such as X and TikTok. Use your pinned bio slots and post that ‘out now’ artwork every chance you get.

Share clips, build hype – then link back to your Boomplay page. Make it simple for people to go from viewer to fan, and they will. Showcase chart progress (no matter how minor!), screenshot plays or follower milestones, and flex with stories. The more visible and accessible your Boomplay profile is, the more likely you are to gain loyal followers and increase your overall reach.

7. Engage with Your Followers

Putting out songs is only half of being an artist. If you want actual fans instead of passive listeners, interaction is key. When people comment on your tracks, respond to them. Ask questions in your post descriptions like “what should the next collab be?” or “which vibe hits harder?” Make it conversational—not just “Thanks.” It tells your followers, ‘Hey, I see you. I hear you.’

Engaged fans are more likely to share your tracks, recommend you to others, and help spread the word, ultimately attracting more followers to your Boomplay profile. The stronger your fan engagement, the faster your presence and influence will grow.

8. Collaborate with Other Artists

Whether they’re peers at your level or slightly ahead, collaborations make it easy to get in front of an audience you wouldn’t reach otherwise. You don’t even have to go huge – think creative: Drop some joint tracks, remix each other’s songs, launch dual tied to your Boomplay profiles, or work on fun 2-pack partnerships that give listeners two tastes of a vibe at once.

They also open doors to featured placements and playlist opportunities, increasing your visibility across the platform. Promoting the collaboration across your social platforms can amplify its impact even further. By joining forces, you not only create fresh content but also build a stronger followerbase on Boomplay.

9. Run Contests or Giveaways

Everybody loves winning something, especially if the barrier to entry is easy and tied to music. Classic example: “Follow me on Boomplay and send proof for a chance to win merch from my latest drop.” It’s simple but it delivers. You’re building momentum AND rewarding fans for following and engaging.

You could also drop free tickets, unlock private demos, offer video shoutouts – the cost is low, but the hype is high. What matters is consistency and excitement. Rotate themes around album drops, upcoming releases, or “100k stream celebration giveaways.”

Combine that buzz with tagging or repost requirements, and you create the kind of contest fans will actually WANT to get involved with.

10. Use Boomplay’s Promotional Tools

Many artists fail to utilize the full features that Boomplay has to offer. Start with Boomplay for Artists. It’s the artist control center, where you manage your content, pitch your music for additional exposure, and stay informed about feature opportunities.

Apply directly for playlist placements. Work toward curated slots and chart boosts by regularly uploading content, maintaining growth statistics, and engaging in consistent interaction.

Keep an eye out for featured placements that Boomplay highlights regularly, including song highlights, daily rising artist reels, and album campaigns. These spots can significantly increase your stream count and increase followers. Leveraging these tools allows you to stand out in a crowded space and grow your presence more effectively on the platform.

11. Track Progress and Adjust

Lastly, this is where great artists are distinguished from others – in metrics. You need to know which strategies work and which ones are draining your time for zero gain.

Dive into your profile data. Which tracks spiked followership? What time of day brought your most engaged plays? Is your content peaking with visuals, captions, certain genres, or one collaboration more than others?

Then adjust as needed. Try dropping music at a different pace – twice a month instead of once every two months? Test a deeper track bio. Or drop acoustic B-sides between the big drops. Staying flexible and data-driven ensures that you continue to build momentum, attract more followers, and maintain steady growth on the platform.
