11 Effective Ways to Gain More Boomplay Streams

Knowing how to get more streams on Boomplay isn’t just about being a great artist. It’s about knowing which levers to pull—strategically, consistently, and creatively.

Here are some effective ways to increase your streams on Boomplay:

1. Buy Boomplay Streams

One of the easiest and most effective ways to boost your music’s visibility on Boomplay is to buy Boomplay streams. This strategy helps artists quickly gain traction by increasing their play count, improving the chances of reaching a wider audience organically.

More streams not only add social proof but also help your songs rank better in Boomplay’s algorithm, increasing your exposure on the platform. At Media Mister, we offer high-quality Boomplay stream packages tailored to meet the unique needs of every artist.

Our streams come exclusively from real Boomplay account users, ensuring authenticity and credibility. Plus, everything’s backed by long-term retention, a money-back guarantee, and super-flexible packages to suit every stage of your career.

2. Understand the Boomplay Platform

Knowing the ins and outs of Boomplay is like learning how to work the mixing desk – you’ll go further, faster. Take time to explore what kind of content Boomplay prioritizes, where songs surface, how engagement works, and the patterns the platform favors.

Analyze charting artists and learn how the homepage displays trending tracks. The Boomplay algorithm prioritizes listener engagement, so features like repeat plays and full listens have a significant impact. Descriptions, tag accuracy, and high listeners all feed the machine.

Treat it like a strategy: study artist trends, follow updates, and monitor your data. The more familiar you are with Boomplay’s rhythm, the more powerfully you can gain Boomplay streams organically – no guesswork, just informed moves.

3. Optimize Your Boomplay Artist Profile

Your Boomplay artist profile is more than a name and a photo — it’s your home base, first impression, and your biggest playbooster. Start with a strong profile image that matches your vibe and makes your brand unmistakable at a glance.

Nail your compelling artist bio – clean, focused, and relevant information that reflects your personality and gets straight to the point. Add official social handles so fans can stay up-to-date with your broader presence; don’t leave those empty.

When your profile looks polished and complete, it encourages more users to explore your songs, tracks, and albums—ultimately leading to more plays and long-term listener loyalty.

4. Leverage Pre-Save and Teasers

To increase streams on Boomplay, your promotion strategy should kick off before the release date. Good marketing doesn’t begin when a song drops – it starts well before. Pre-save campaigns give fans a chance to act before release day, so you launch with serious engagement.

Boomplay currently doesn’t have direct pre-save features, but you can still drive hype in a big way. Create teasers using short-form videos, behind-the-scenes clips, and other engaging promotional content across your preferred marketing channels. Use countdowns, lyric snippets, or slowed versions of your hook to build anticipation and keep your audience engaged before the release.

Find any reason for fans to talk early, even a day or two, makes a difference. And be bold with how you share teaser clips across social media — teasing visuals, rehearsal shots, or simply you vibing to the chorus can set the mood for something big.

5. Release Quality Music Consistently

If your goal is to increase your streams on Boomplay, two key factors matter most: quality and consistency. Releasing great music on a regular basis keeps your audience engaged, helps you stay visible on the platform, and builds momentum with each new drop.

Focus first on sound quality—a well-produced track stands out instantly. Invest in good mixing and professional mastering to ensure your songs sound crisp, polished, and ready for streaming. Even the best-written lyrics or melodies can go unnoticed if the audio lacks clarity or punch.

Equally important is maintaining a regular release schedule. Whether it’s once a month or every few weeks, staying consistent keeps your fans coming back for more.

It also helps Boomplay’s algorithm recognize you as an active artist, which can lead to more recommendations and playlist placements, in turn generating a steady stream of volume rather than short-term spikes.

6. Organize Your Tracks into Playlists

Creating and curating playlists is a smart way to increase visibility and get more streams on Boomplay. If you’re not actively building your collections, you’re leaving plays on the table. Creating a themed playlist allows fans to explore more than just one track — they buy into your entire vibe.

Don’t limit it to just your songs either. Include others within your genre who bring a similar energy. Think of names like “Dance After Dark,” “Work Vibes Only,” or “Top Lagos Breakout Sounds.” Keep them personal but curated with a goal.

Promote your playlists like new releases. Share them regularly, embed them into stories, update covers – when fans spend more time listening, your stats move automatically.

7. Pitch Your Music to Editorial Playlists

Boomplay’s official playlists, curated by their in-house editorial team, have significant appeal. Getting placed means thousands of potential plays and a flood of getting new followers. The good news is that all artists have a chance to be considered for inclusion.

As for the bad news, Boomplay has stopped accepting individual pitching. Which means you have to get picked up on merit. Kind of a bummer, but not the end of the world.

The biggest hack here – study similar playlists. Understand why those songs are selected – production style, genre heat, trending tags. Make your next drop irresistible, and it might just take center stage.

8. Collaborate with Other Artists

One of the most innovative ways to reach new fans fast? Collaborate with other artists, whether local gems or established names in the scene. Collaborations are one of the fastest ways to attract more Boomplay streams and reach new listeners.

Think beyond guest features on main singles. Drop remixes together. Work on a joint intro, write hooks together. Even “Vs’-styled versions with other up-and-coming artists can create significant buzz and move volumes.

Best of all, joint marketing means twice the effort. One push now covers both sets of fans – fresh eyes, shared promo, repeat listeners. Try one solid collaboration and see how doors open.

9. Promote Your Music Actively

Smart, relentless promo is where every independent artist lives or dies. Post, promote, plug – not once, but all the time. New songs, upcoming songs, milestones – they ALL need loud love.

Promote your music on Boomplay, but extend your reach by encouraging user-generated content, sharing short promotional videos, using targeted mailing lists, and creating quick trailers across relevant marketing channels. Keep your promotional efforts consistent and varied to reach a wider audience.

Make cross-promotion work: swap shout-outs with artists, tag content in group threads, and repost playlist features. It all gives Boomplay the “signal boost” effect it likes, helping you increase Boomplay streams far faster.

10. Utilize Influencers and Music Promoters

Partnering with niche promoters or smart content influencers means you tap into their dedicated crews instantly – Afrobeat fans, Gen Z listeners, urban music lovers, and other subgroups living on the timeline.

You don’t need to strike up massive deals. Personal outreach works well here – send your new drop, explain your backstory, and offer snippets to share that they can own and riff on creatively. Collaborations = clout, when executed with energy and personality.

That targeted network helps amplify your sound with powerful Boomplay music promotion, press kits, peer endorsements, and promos to drive traffic to your Boomplay profile. Real hype. Real growth.

11. Use Boomplay for Artists Analytics

Last up, you can’t scale what you don’t track. Inside the Boomplay for Artists portal, review the statistics that inform smart decisions. Don’t let your strategy ride on gut feelings alone.

Watch metrics like location of your streams (for city-based promotion), which songs get skipped early (rewrite the intro!), how often a full listen is happening, and what drives your “Saved” section. High saves? Strong engagement alert.

Break patterns into priorities. Target heavy listener cities with drops. Let stats decide when it’s time to launch again. When you work the data, you automatically get more plays on Boomplay, because you know exactly what your listeners want.

Growing your presence on Boomplay takes strategy, creativity, and consistency. From optimizing your artist profile and collaborating with other musicians to running teaser campaigns and curating playlists, each tactic plays a vital role in helping you increase streams and reach a wider audience.
