10 Valuable Tips to Get More Vimeo Views

Here we will share with you the best tips so that you can quickly and effectively increase the views of your videos on Vimeo.

1. Create Unique and Shareable Content

One of the keys to getting more views is to make an original video concept that speaks for itself. Generally, users judge videos by the first thing they show and, based on that, decide whether to continue watching. Therefore, it is a good idea to focus on creating creative content that can provoke interest in users.

We recommend that the whole process of creating your content, from production to filming and editing, is carried out perfectly so that users who watch one of your videos will want to watch more. Also, for best results, target all your unique content to the preferences of your target audience, but pay attention to the quality of the video so that you receive more views.

2. Make Attractive Thumbnails

Selecting thumbnails is crucial, so ensure they are interesting to catch users’ attention. Remember that the thumbnail image is the first thing users see. Therefore, it has to have a strong visual idea so the user is encouraged to visit the video, like it, and comment on it.

The thumbnail, also from having a visual that engages, should include a catchy title or relevant text that relates to the content of the video. In addition, it should have bright colors that cannot go unnoticed so that people feel the need to open the video.

3. Add Impressive Titles and Descriptions

Although thumbnails are crucial for grabbing attention, they can’t hook viewers if the video title is unattractive. So, not only should you strive to make an eye-catching thumbnail, but you also need to create a good title. It also should be short, creative, and engaging and give the audience an idea of what they will see.

Another element you should pay special attention to is the video description to make it click-worthy. Focus on incorporating the most relevant keywords for your content in the descriptions to ensure that they appear in search results and thus increase your target audience’s chances of being seen.

4. Post in the Right Category

You must choose the right category for uploading videos and to get more exposure. There are many categories on Vimeo, such as animation, comedy, documentary, branded content, and music. You must choose the most relevant one for your videos to appear in the correct search result.

For example, if you create a humorous video and place it in the documentary category, you won’t get people interested in that type of content. Therefore, you have to make sure to be cautious as this decision has an impact on the number of views on Vimeo.

5. Join The Right Groups in Vimeo

Vimeo groups is a unique system on this platform, which other video sites such as YouTube do not have. Unlike playlists, where you add your own videos to a list of others you have listened to, Vimeo groups are accessible to all users.

Vimeo Motion Group: Groups are content channels that concentrate information on a specific niche or topic. For example, the Motion group is a group for motion graphics artists. Motion graphics are a type of video generally used as cuts, intros, and stock videos.

Music Videos Group: This group is simply music videos. Music Video is “Closed” and supports a specific channel, which they use to choose the most appealing videos.

Just click this button to see a list of groups you are part of, and you can also add your uploaded videos to any group.

6. Try to Get on Vimeo Staff Pick

Vimeo has an exciting feature for content creators called staff pick, which offers many benefits. The platform’s staff picks the best videos broadcast on an active custom channel and places a special badge on them to give them more exposure to the audience.

In addition, each of them is nominated for Best of the Month, Best of the Year, and Best of the Decade rankings. That’s why a professional needs to go the extra mile to get videos selected by Vimeo. Winning this selection is a difficult task, as only added videos that are high quality, creative, and impressive are chosen.

If you get on Vimeo Staff pick, you will get a lot of views, as people will prefer to watch the videos recently ranked by the team as the best.

7. Use Vimeo Marketing Tools

Vimeo is a platform that you can access through a free and paid plan ad-free. You can select any of the four levels within the paid plans: Plus Plan, Pro Plan, Business Plan, and Premium Plan.

By sending your videos to these influencers, you are giving them to view and share your content with their followers. Getting the attention of influencers can be very beneficial for your channel as it can validate your videos as popular and increase your exposure.

The more popular you become, the more likely it is that people will discover your channel, which can lead to a considerable number of visitors. It’s a win-win situation for both you and the influencer.
