The use of Android mobile applications is one of the biggest trends in the world today. These are software designed to function on an Android emulator or device for enhanced user experience, successful business operations, and growing market share.
However, your app can only be successful when you can get as many people as possible to download your app in thousands and millions. Getting more installations can boost your App visibility and attract more potential users to reach your business goals quickly.
On the other hand, considering the level of competition in the Google play store (where you can currently find over 1.6 million Android apps and billions of users), gaining more downloads for your app can seem like the most challenging thing to do! So in this article, we will explain some ways to increase Android App Installs.
12 Proven Ways to Get More Android App Installs
Getting more app downloads is just getting easier. Here are the easy ways to follow for more Installs on the Android app:
1. Optimize Your App
Optimizing your app can give potential customers a good impression of your App quality and a clear understanding of your app’s usefulness. It also makes it more discoverable to prospective users who seek similar services, which results in additional mobile app downloads for you.
Use an Attention-Grabbing Icon: Use an attractive design as your icon to help you stand out.
Use Captivating Title: Write a captivating title that includes the name of your app and some popular keywords for more visibility.
Use Compelling App Description: Craft an enticing description of the app with relevant keywords to give it more exposure.
2. Do ASO
As an application developer, if you are unaware of the term App Store Optimization or ASO, you’re missing out on a lot. App Store Optimization is a series of steps you take to prepare your video for the Google play store, increasing an app’s searchability and visibility. Its basic two steps are given as follows:
Embedding Keywords: Find keywords relevant to your app’s niche and embed them everywhere in your application. Add them to your app’s title and description, so people can find them in the search results when they search for a related keyword.
Back Linking: Embed your application’s links on as many sites as possible to increase its Google authority and drive more traffic to it.
Adding high-quality images and videos, focusing on icon design, and encouraging leaving positive reviews, also help increase an application’s ASO, and we’ve described them in the above sections. You can go back and retake a look at them for more information.
3. Do App Localization
This means adapting your mobile application to multiple languages, regions, markets, and cultures. It is essential to do this to make your app available to more people all over the world. It can expand your influence and help you attract a larger target audience, which leads to more installs for your application.
4. Use Pop Options
Pop-ups can be annoying, but they are a great way to convert your website traffic into potential users. All you have to do is set attractive pop-ups on your site that asks the visitor to install the app and check it out kindly.
You can also collaborate with other tech websites and pay them to set up pop-ups that promote your application on their website. In this way, you’ll be able to drive more traffic to your app, increasing its organic reach and potential app installs.
5. Ask for Ratings and Reviews
Getting more ratings and reviews can give your app enhanced visibility and support its credibility, especially when you get positive reviews. So you should ask your users for reviews and give rewards to motivate them to leave feedback.
In addition, your ratings can also entice other potential users to install your app. Conversely, you should learn how to handle negative reviews in case a user isn’t satisfied with their experience.
6. Advertise Your App
Marketing has always been a vital element of app promotion. Most app developers advertise their app on television or video streaming platforms like YouTube or Rumble, etc., to reach their potential audience. When you’re out there promoting your application, you should also make sure to advertise your app on several different platforms.
You can also use the “App campaigns” feature of Google to advertise your app on the search engine and app store. You need to start a new ad campaign for your app, set the audience you want to show the ad to, and let the campaign begin.
You will start getting more installs and engagement on your app as soon as the campaign settles in. However, advertising requires you to spend a lot of money on marketing, so be mentally prepared before applying this tactic.
7. Do Press Releases
Have you added a new feature to your application? Got some exciting news to share with your users? Make sure that you do that through press releases because they are a legitimate source of releasing information and represent authority. Also, press releases are an effective way of declaring your rights for a feature.
It prevents any other studio or developer from copying it because you can submit your press release as evidence to the google play store to prove creative ownership. So, not only are the press releases a great way of sharing information, but they also serve as your partial patent and keep copiers away from your application.
8. Release as a Freemium
To get the initial mass on your app and attract the audience, it’s better to offer your app’s premium features for free and set it as a “Freemium” for a while.
Through this tactic, you will be able to give the audience a taste of the true potential of your application, and once they get addicted, you can restrict those features again. It’s a classic trick of getting people interested in the app and securing more installs, so keep it in mind.
9. Build an Online Presence
You can’t get anywhere with your application without laying the groundwork and building an online presence. Use every platform at your disposal to promote your application and ensure that your app becomes word of mouth among the communities of its niche.
Aside from being necessary for your app’s promotion, online presence is vital for showing that your app has a solid background and is legitimate. And as we all know, the audience always goes for the famous apps that are well renowned in their communities, so you must build an online presence on all the social media platforms.
10. Promote on Social Media Platforms
You need to promote your apps on social media platforms like Twitter, Vimeo, Telegram, Pinterest, Twitch, etc., to boost your downloads. These platforms can make your posts more discoverable, so you can share your app links to leverage your existing audience and gain an advanced outreach to attract more users to download it.
11. Partnership with Influencers
Imagine if one of the first to install your app were stars like Kevin Hart or Will Smith; it would automatically become a sensation overnight because it got endorsed by well-renowned Hollywood celebrities. Now, of course, you can’t get your hands on Hollywood celebrities, but you can reach out to some YouTube or other social platform influencers and collaborate with them.
Many social media influencers endorse an application to their massive fan following after signing a deal with the developers and charging them money. It costs some money to make a star recommend your application, but it’s worth it since it gives your application the exposure it needs and boosts its odds of getting installed.
12. Buy Android App Installs
Buying is the fastest and easiest way to get a higher number of installs that boost the visibility of your app. It helps to uphold the credibility of your app, improve app store rankings, and put it in a position where more organic people are inspired to install it.
You can buy Android App Installs from Media Mister, who provides simple app installs from real people and active accounts, to improve user engagement. This can also help you generate more revenue and aid you in hitting your brand goals.
