Tips to Grow on SoundCloud

In this section, you will find some of the best tips for growing your SoundCloud page. All of these tips and tactics are recommended by experts. People have tried them and got excellent results, so make sure that you start applying them as soon as possible once you’re done reading them.

1. Post-High-Quality Tracks Consistently

For artists, SoundCloud is the ultimate showdown of talent where musicians worldwide gather and see who’s worthy of getting the audience’s attention. Now, if your goal is to launch your career via this platform and become a huge hit, you got to focus on quality.

Every day millions of people visit SoundCloud to surf some good music online and take the edge off things – these dedicated listeners expect nothing but top-notch tracks on their beloved platform, and you need to give them what they desire to become a hit.

However, just focusing on quality won’t help you grow, as you would also need to stay consistent. Imagine you’re a listener, and your favorite band drops only one song a year and then disappears. Eventually, you would forget that band, right?

That’s the same thing that happens on SoundCloud. No matter how good your music is and how many fans following you have, if you don’t upload consistently, people will eventually fall off, and no one will even remember your name anymore.

Therefore, do your best to produce high-quality tracks that are perfect in every aspect, and ensure to upload them consistently to gain the audience’s attention and grow as an artist on SoundCloud.

2. Connect with Listeners

Must is the food for the soul, and if you wish to grow on SoundCloud, you need to give your listeners the proper diet. In simple terms, you need to connect with your audience and find out their preferences and favorite genres.

Getting this information will help you compose better tracks that your audience will love, which will get you more plays, engagement, and social presence, thus, turning you into a renowned musician who is loved by his audience.

3. Encourage the Audience to Comment

Constant growth only comes when you constantly evolve – and yes! This applies to musicians as well. You need to identify your strengths and weaknesses to grow as an artist, and what better way to achieve this goal than by asking your audience to share their views.

You just need to ask and encourage your audience to comment on your tracks and share their thoughts with you. Now, this would work out for you in two ways. One, you will get to see what the audience really thinks of your music and on which points you need to work more.

Second, you will get more engagement on your tracks through comments, which will uplift your organic reach, and more people will listen to your music. So, this tactic will help you grow as an artist and will boost your account as a byproduct.

4. Share Your Music with Others

Spread your music like it is wildfire! To ensure your growth on SoundCloud, you need to increase your exposure and let the world know that you’re uploading tracks on a prestigious platform like SoundCloud. And how do you do that? Well, you can start by sharing your page’s link with your friends, colleagues, and family members.

You can also promote your music on social media to hit a wider audience and get better results. Through this tactic, your SoundCloud page will get tons of exposure, which will attract the potential audience and establish your reputation as an artist.

5. Collaborate with Others

Collaboration always leads to innovation in creative endeavors, and that’s a well-known fact. If you want to produce better tracks and utilize the exposure of your fellow artists to establish your presence, you should collaborate with them from time to time.

Through collaboration, you will not only get the chance to work with senior artists but also gain exposure to their widespread audience, which will make you popular among them. Who knows, their followers may also start following you after you release the collaboration track.

So, you see, it’s not a bad idea to collaborate with your peers, as it can help you in lots of different ways which you cannot even comprehend.

6. Promote Your Music on Other Networks

An effective way of booting your SoundCloud account is promoting your tracks on several different platforms, so they reach more audiences and get recognition. Now, although there are hundreds of ways for music promotion, here are some of the most effective ones.

Embed Tracks on Site

If you own a personal blog or website, then it’s an excellent idea to embed your SoundCloud tracks on it. You can embed the tracks in a sidebar or in a sticky player that moves as you scroll down or up on the site.

Doing this will not only add an exciting new feature to your site but also attract the site visitors to interact with your tracks and check out your SoundCloud page, which will boost your engagement rate, and in turn, your account.

Use Email List

Want to share your tracks with your colleagues? Copy your account link or the link of a specific track and share it with your whole mailing list in one go. Request them to please check out your SoundCloud account in the subject of the mail so they show empathy and do as requested.

Social Media

Social media platforms are the most effective promotion methods, and it’s a proven fact. Make sure to post the link of your SoundCloud account on all your social channels like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter Snapchat, so all of your friends can know about your tracks.

And as more of your circle will know about your music, more of them will check it out, which will uplift your account’s stats and your reputation as a musician.

7. Ask Reposts

In the world of SoundCloud, engaging in a SoundCloud repost chain is a powerful strategy for gaining more plays. This dynamic approach involves a group of people agreeing to do SoundCloud reposts for the same track at specific times, significantly amplifying its visibility and reach.

Why is that? Because people only repost songs they love, and of course, when they share a track on their timeline, their friends check it out, thus increasing the overall plays and engagement of that song.

So, if you want more reposts on your tracks, ask your friends and family not just to enjoy the songs but also to repost them on their timelines. This will start a chain reaction, which will eventually help your SoundCloud account grow.

9. Create Playlists

Creating playlists on SoundCloud is an underrated but powerful tactic to grow your presence. When you organize your tracks (and even other artists’ tracks) into themed playlists, it encourages listeners to stay longer on your page. Playlists can help your audience discover more of your music in one go, increasing total plays and engagement.

For example, you can create a playlist of your top tracks, seasonal hits, or a mix of tracks that fit a specific mood or genre. Sharing these playlists on social media or embedding them on your website can also drive more traffic to your SoundCloud profile. Over time, playlists not only showcase your music creatively but also help build a stronger connection with your listeners.

9. Build Your Fan Base

The meaning of growing a SoundCloud account is to build a solid fan base that can help you jump into the music industry. But that’s only possible when you have enough followers.

So, while working on other fronts, keep trying to increase SoundCloud followers on your account. Boosting up followers should be your primary goal as an artist because followers are the people responsible for listening to your tracks and building your reputation as an artist.

They also serve as an excellent medium for word-of-mouth music marketing. Therefore, focus on attaining as many followers as you can on your account quickly before someone else attracts them and takes them away.

Conclusion

A musician’s journey to success is a lifelong struggle that involves creating excellent music and staying focused on the goal – keep this in mind while applying these tips to your account. Remember that consistency matters in art, so never give up and keep producing good music until one day you stand at the precipice of success, realizing the very dream you once saw.
