How to Get More LinkedIn Comments?

As the world’s largest professional networking platform, LinkedIn has become an essential tool for job seekers, recruiters, entrepreneurs, and marketers alike. With over 774 million users worldwide, LinkedIn offers a powerful way to connect with industry leaders, expand your professional network, and showcase your skills and expertise.

One of the most important metrics for measuring engagement on LinkedIn is the number of comments on your posts. Comments not only provide valuable feedback and insights into your content but also boost your visibility, credibility, and influence on the platform. If you’re looking to increase your LinkedIn comments, you’re in the right place.

In this article, we’ll share some proven strategies and best practices to help you get more comments on your LinkedIn posts. Whether you’re a seasoned LinkedIn user or just starting out, these tips will help you grow your network, build your brand, and achieve your professional goals.

16 Surefire Ways to Get More Comments on LinkedIn

Looking to increase engagement on your LinkedIn posts? Here are 16 surefire ways to get more comments on LinkedIn and start meaningful conversations with your network.

1. Be Authentic

Being authentic is a key factor in how we interact with the world around us. Authenticity can make or break how people perceive us, whether in person or on a social networking platform. It’s also a measure of how our relationships develop, how successful we are in life, and how we view ourselves.

Within the LinkedIn context, being authentic, transparent, and honest in your post increases the likelihood of nurturing the relationship with your followers and, in turn, getting more comments on your posts.

2. Leverage Visual Content

Pieces of content that are visual will help make your post more engaging and increase comments. Images, attractive videos, and infographics instead of plain text posts can be used to pique interest in a topic or to illustrate how something works.

To boost engagement even further, you can leverage user-generated content and make your posts more eye-catching and memorable by featuring behind-the-scenes footage of customers using your products or photos of events related to your industry.

By doing this, you gain an emotional connection with viewers who may be able to relate better to these types of visuals than they would to static images.

3. Share Thought-Provoking Quotes

Quotes can be a great conversation starter and can be compelling enough to induce someone to comment on your post. These are also great for demonstrating how you think, how you live, and how you want to be seen in the professional world.

Quotes can also help build relationships and spark conversation with other professionals in your field by indicating common interests or points of agreement between yourself and others. Sharing creative quotes helps prevent your posts from getting lost in the vast sea of content posted every day on LinkedIn.

Through thoughtful curation of quotes, conversations about ideas can be started, networks expanded, and relationships formed –– all through one simple quote!

4. Trigger Emotional Responses from Your Audience

In order to foster emotional connections with a strong emotional reaction from your audience, you need to craft content that is memorable and uniquely tailored to your target audience. This can be done by using compelling visuals, stories, and motivational content that forges a deeper connection with the reader.

Use keywords and phrases that evoke a certain emotion in the reader. Include vivid descriptions that appeal to all senses. This will help readers connect even more deeply with the emotions they are experiencing while reading. In addition, focus on conveying how the issue affects people on a personal level rather than just providing general facts about it.

5. Use Relevant Hashtags

By using LinkedIn hashtags, your post can reach a larger audience and increase engagement from potential followers or existing connections. When creating content, it’s important to use relevant hashtags that relate directly to the news story, article, or content you’re sharing.

Additionally, consider how keywords might be used in hashtags that pertain to industry or skill-specific topics to connect with people who have similar interests or expertise.

6. Use Killer Calls to Action

If you want to increase engagement and get more comments on your LinkedIn posts, using killer Calls to Action (CTAs) is a must. A well-crafted CTA is an effective way to prompt your audience to take a specific action that aligns with your marketing goals. To create a killer CTA, ensure that it’s clear, concise, and action-oriented.

Use language that resonates with your audience and incentivizes them to comment on your post. Don’t forget to provide a direct link to where users can engage with your content. By using killer CTAs, you can drive more engagement and generate valuable conversations with your network on LinkedIn.

7. Post At Peak Time

Posting at peak time will help you get your content seen by more people and increase the chances of getting comments. Peak times on LinkedIn depend on your industry, but they typically fall in the morning and early evening when people are checking their news feeds. When scheduling posts, aim to post at least once during these peak times.

8. Ask Followers to Tag Friends

This is a great way to increase the popularity of your post, as the tagged individuals will be notified of your content. Tagging people increases potential likes, shares, and comments from those who may not have been exposed to your post otherwise.

Tag company and industry leaders as well to increase the reach of your post and engage with professionals outside of your immediate network. Make sure you provide an easy-to-understand explanation that encourages readers to help spread the word about your content.

9. Join and Post in LinkedIn Groups

Join LinkedIn groups that share content on LinkedIn related to your industry or interests, work experience, or any other areas of interest. This will ensure that you get the most out of your interactions with the group members and become a visible presence in these online communities.

Posting thoughtful questions can also be beneficial; it increases engagement among group members of the same industry while also showing that you’re knowledgeable on the subject matter.

And don’t forget to respond thoughtfully to others’ posts as well; this helps to grow relationships with group members and shows that you are invested in the conversation, resulting in the likelihood of increased comments.

10. Build Personal Connections and Interact

Making more personal connections is essential if you want to establish yourself in today’s competitive market. Not only does it help them form relationships with others in your industry, but it also increases their authority and credibility within their field.

Furthermore, connecting with people can be a great source of motivation and support when facing business challenges. Interacting on LinkedIn is the key to increasing engagement with your posts and expanding your network. When done strategically, it can be a powerful tool for professional growth.

11. Creatively Ask for Comments

Create an eye-catching post with a visual element that will draw people in and compel them to comment. It could be an image or even a video – something engaging and interactive. Make sure the content of your post is relevant and interesting to your audience; this way they’ll be more likely to comment.

Ask your followers specific questions that prompt thoughtful responses. This encourages engagement and allows for meaningful conversations between commenters.

12. Respond To Comments

Responding to comments is equally important as getting more comments on LinkedIn. The best way to respond to comments is to be genuine and authentic in your response. Take the time to read each comment carefully and thoughtfully craft a response that shows how much you appreciate the engagement of your followers.

Thanking commenters for their input, asking follow-up questions, or sharing additional insight into the topic are all great ways to create meaningful conversations with your audience.

13. Do a Q&A Session

One effective way to get more comments on your LinkedIn posts is to host a Q&A session. This provides an opportunity for your audience to engage with you and ask questions about your industry or expertise. Start by promoting the session in advance and encouraging your audience to submit questions ahead of time.

During the session, be sure to answer each question thoroughly and encourage follow-up comments and questions. This creates a dialogue with your audience and can lead to valuable conversations and networking opportunities. A successful Q&A session can increase engagement, establish thought leadership, and ultimately drive more comments on your LinkedIn posts.

14. Share a Link to the Post Within Your Network

Sharing your LinkedIn profile on other social media sites is a cross-platform content marketing networking strategy that can help you get more comments and likes on your LinkedIn post. This creates a ripple effect that increases the reach and engagement of your post – all stemming from one link shared across multiple social media platforms.

By sharing the link with your connections on different sites – like X, YouTube, and Vimeo, to name a few – you create an interconnected web of potential connections. This increases your online presence and, therefore, your engagement rate, potentially inspiring more people to comment or like what they see.

15. Remove Spam and Block Negative Comments

You can create a more productive and positive environment by getting rid of spam and blocking negative comments to maintain an effective presence on the platform. Spam comments can be distracting and off-putting to other users, while negative comments can harm a profile’s reputation.

Having too many spam messages or negative feedback can also prevent you from getting more likes and comments from other users, which is important for increasing engagement with your content. Fortunately, there are several ways to get rid of spam and block negative comments on LinkedIn.

You can manually delete any comment that violates their terms of service by hovering over it, clicking the three dots icon, and selecting “Delete.” Simply click the ‘More’ icon that you’ll find to the right of the post or comment and click ‘Report.’ Choose the most appropriate option and submit.

LinkedIn’s built-in moderation tools automatically filter out spam and offensive comments, but sometimes it’s open to interpretation whether a comment is considered clean or not.

16. Buy LinkedIn Comments

Buying LinkedIn comments can be a quick and effective way to boost engagement with your posts and increase exposure for your brand. With more engagement, you’ll have a better chance of reaching a wider audience and attracting new followers and potential customers to your profile.
